AELTC’S Planning Application: Public Meeting Invitation from Simon Wright (Save Wimbledon Park) in advance of GLA Hearing

DATE & TIME- 23 SEPTEMBER 7.30-9.30PM  

LOCATION – ST BARNABAS CHURCH

We have now heard from the GLA that the Hearing to decide whether AELTC’s planning application should be accepted or refused will be held at City Hall on Friday 27th September.

Accordingly we are inviting you to a public meeting at St. Barnabas Church, 146 Lavenham Road, Southfields, London SW18 5EP on Monday September 23rd from 7.30 to 9.30pm

We should receive the GLA Planning Officers Report no later than September 20th. The significance of this report is that the Planning Committees of both Merton and Wandsworth followed the advice of their Officers Report, albeit with very different outcomes.

Our meeting at St. Barnabas will have four main aims:

  • Summarising GLA Planning Officers report and considering its implications
  • Running through what will happen at the Hearing on September 27th
  • Suggesting what you can do 
  • Answering your questions

Please note that on the 27th all speakers at the GLA Hearing who wish to oppose the scheme have only a total of 15 minutes to present their arguments.  We need to agree who is best placed to make these presentations.
